Formed in 1999 from the ashes of an earlier incarnation of the same name (then a 3-piece acoustic guitars/vocal harmony group formed by Eric, Noel & David). The earlier line-up was the resident band for three months at Moods, almost a year at Karma (Boat Quay), and also played slots at Off Quay (Boat Quay). The founding members decided that playing covers in pubs wasn't very fulfilling and decided to write original music in a full band format. Since then, they've been busy in and out of the studio writing, recording, and performing original material at various gigs.
Ugly In The Morning's sound can best be described as an eclectic mix of Funk, Blues, and Rock with liberal doses of R&B/Soul with emphasis on vocal harmonies and kicking funk rhythms.
